So we all have our go-to beauty products that we love and can't live without. If I was stranded on the LOST island with Jack and Sawyer, these are the products I would want to have with me.
C.O. Bigelow Mentha Lip Balm. Hi. It freshens your breath, smooths your lips, and tastes fabulous! It also gives a great shine. You can buy this at Bath and Body Works. Better yet, you can wait til BBW offers their amazing "Free Lip Item with Purchase" coupon, and you can buy whatever you want and get it for free! Originally, I liked the Mentha Lip Shine. Then, this came out, and blew the "shine" out of the water, because I hate that goopy sticky mess that lip shines have. I'm a simple girl, give me some lip balm.
Maybelline ColorSensational in Totally Toffee. I've been using this lipstick forever, and I will cry the day it goes off the sheleves. I also recently learned that my favorite blogger in the whole wide world - Pioneer Woman - a fellow redhead, uses the same shade! Very cool. But this lipstick is fabulous, because the color stays, it doesn't smell funny, and it also moisturizes. You can't ask for anything better.
TreSemmé Flawless Curls. I use the shampoo, conditioner, gel, curl enhancing cream, and the hairspray. Sometimes the mousse, too, if it's on sale. This is by far the best product I've ever found for curly hair. And as TreSemmé makes known, they have salon style quality for the drugstore price. Which is exactly what I need. My hair has never been more healthy or moisturized, and my curls have never looked better! If you have curly hair, try this now. I mean now.
Maybelline Great Lash in Blackest Black. This is not America's #1 Favorite mascara for nothing, people. It is the best mascara I have ever used in my life. And I love mascara. I can't leave my bed without it. That's right, I don't even leave my BED without it, forget the house. Buy it, use it, and love it. Forever. This has beat out tons of department store mascaras to be the fan favorite of like, every woman in the entire universe.
Burt's Bees Natural Acne Solutions Spot Treatment. Hello, lover. I just found this not too long ago, and I am so glad I did. It's the best spot treatment I've ever used. Granted, it smells like old ladies, but it's worth it. As someone who was not blessed with the best complexion in the universe, I need a good spot treatment. With a little dab of this before bed, I wake up, and pimples are completely gone. It's a miracle treatment. It's not cheap, but it lasts a long time. Try it!
Those are my absolute favorite go-to products. What are yours??

A message to Rob Lowe...
Dear Rob Lowe/Robert McCallister,
Thank you for redeeming yourself and once again, being a good husband to Kitty on Brothers & Sisters. I was really getting worried about you. You really need to shut up once in a while and let your woman talk, a lesson that most men would be good to learn. That speech you gave, and showing up to the appointment? Pure gold. Good job, Rob. Please continue accordingly. I don't like having to dislike you and your beautiful baby blues.

How I start my day...
This is Lily, my beautiful kitty cat, that has taken over my apartment in the short 4 months she's lived there. I love having her around for company. We have a very established routine in the mornings. Alarm goes off at 6:20 am. I get up, turn it off, press the 30 min nap button, and go back in bed, to pet her and talk to her, and spoil the living crap out of her. Then, I get up, and go shower. She sits on the toilet or on the rug outside of the shower and waits. As soon as that shower curtain opens, she's on her feet, and talking. She meows and meows, licking the water off my legs and impatiently rubbing against me because she knows what's coming next. I put on my robe, and together, and I do mean TOGETHER (in the sense that I walk, and she rubs and weaves in and out of my legs and feet, and in the 8 steps it takes to get to the kitchen, I trip an average of 16 times), we walk to the kitchen, because it's breakfast time. She gets her usual can of kitten chow, I grab a glass of milk. I leave her to devour and nom all of her food, while I go to get ready for work. But our ritual's not over yet! Oh no. I sit on the bed to put on my makeup. By this time, piglet has finished breakfast, and she comes up on the bed to lay in my lap while I put on my makeup, purring and watching my every move (and sometimes, bats over the foundation bottle and spills it all over the comforter... but we're talking about her cuteness, so I'll just forget to mention that part right now...). Then, I get up and do my hair, and she watches every move, and while I blow dry upside down, she gets on the flour and bats my hair around. I like to think she's helping, but she's prolly just being a little jerk. And then comes the dreaded time, when I must walk out the door and go to work, when I would much rather stay home and cuddle that cute little furball.
How do you start your day??

My top 5 Celebrity Crushes
I'm still a teenager somewhere deep inside, and this causes me to have crazy celebrity crushes that drive me to watch terrible movies, just to see that special someone. It's a disease, but a disease that I'm okay with. I've come to terms that I will, by the time I'm 30, wasted close to half my life watching awful movies, just to stare at hot, delicious men. (I like their minds, too, HONEST!)
So, let's start at 5, and count down to my ABSOLUTE favorite.
5. Patrick Dempsey. Oh Patrick. I fell for you way back when I was a young girl, watching Can't Buy Me Love. You were so cute and dorky as Ronald, but yet there was something screaming out of you, that said you would be a debonnaire hotty mc-hot stuff. And I was right. You turned into McDreamy: a true legend of 21st century television. I get to see you every Thursday night. Women everywhere stumble into hospitals, praying to see a doctor a fraction as hot as you are. Your hair, your manly scruffy stubble, and those pretty squinty smiley eyes. Enough said. (and you like AMAZING in Armani...) You also drive race cars. Wow. And I wouldn't dump you for my crazy redneck husband, like Reese Witherspoon does to you in Sweet Home Alabama.

3. Matthew McConaughey. You're not that good at acting. You play the same character over and over. But that southern drawl, and that curly mop of yours just get me. You take care of yourself, you definitely work out. But for once, make a movie without the accent. Seriously. And play someone other than the crazy playboy who can't be tied down. Show us some depth. And your abs. Who am I kidding, I'll see your movies, even if they suck, even if you're still that Southern lovable doggy playboy.
2. Zac Efron. I admit it, I love you. And you're only one year younger than me, so that's not creepy. Honest. For you, I watched all three HSM movies. And I'll be honest, I love them. I sing the songs. I watch Hairspray over and over, you are the perfect Link. Most recently, you wowed me in 17 Again. Surprisingly, it was a really good movie. You're talented, and you will go insanely far. I'm disappointed that you decided to turn down Footloose. I would have liked to see you in that. You can dance. and sing. and act. and your smile? woo. lovin' you.
And the number one spot goes to.....
1. Mark Wahlberg. Oh Marky Mark, I watched you just last night in the strangest movie ever -- The Happening. But I've also watched you in some other movies that were out of character for me: The Departed, We Own the Night, Shooter... I could go on. But I love those movies. Because of you. You were my favorite in Four Brothers and Invincible. Granted, not your best looking roles, but man are you good at playing dramatic roles. In Four Brothers, you fight for your mom, and that is so attractive and sweet. And in Invincible, you beat crazy odds, playing Vince Papale. Keep acting, Mark. I saw you for the first time in 54, and I loved you then. Your brother's pretty cool too. Congrats, Mark, you are my #1 celebrity crush :-)
Who are your crushes?? I want to know! Leave a comment, and let me know.

4. Channing Tatum First of all, Channing is such a cool name. Is that your given name? I'm not sure, but I'm going to say yes. Smart parents you must have. And good-looking, because look how you turned out. So I've sat through some crazy movies just to catch a glimpse of you, and your abs. I'm not the kind of girl that watches GI Joe, Stop Loss, Fighting, or Coach Carter. But after seeing you in She's the Man, Step Up, Step Up 2, and Supercross, well, I was hooked. You are also a talented actor, I think, but your abs really don't hurt either. I love your bad boy with a soft side act. It's incredibly cute. Make more movies :-)

One of those days...
Do you ever have one of those days where your head just feels like it will explode if one more person tries to ask you a question?
I'm there. Oh Mondays. Something about being in the same building for 14 hours just rots my brain all to crap.
Not to mention, I'm missing One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl. Not cool.

Grey's Anatomy season opener...
So the premiere of Grey's Anatomy was last night. And I was prepared for an "Oh, Snap"! episode. I didn't get it.
First of all, why the "oh it's not George, that guy's tall" thing, and then Callie just looks at a freckle and id's him? Why not just say, "it's George, he's dead. This is awful". Why bother saying it's not him, if it IS IN FACT, him. Or, did they not do anything else to ID him, and in a couple of episodes, we're going to find out that hey, George is very much alive, we just haven't heard from him in 30 days, because he's been busy in the army, preparing for the army. Seriously.
So sick of hearing about the choking thing between Hunt/Cristina. That was forever ago. And they're in couples' therapy? Already? If you need couples' therapy within the first year, it's not going to work. Personal opinion, but seriously. And I would love if Cristina would show some sort of emotion once in a while.
The scene at the cemetary, where the four of them were laughing? Hysterical. I thought it was sorta touching but yet funny at the same time. It was sad, but hilarious.
I loved where Izzy told the girl George saved off. I wish they would have added a "George saved you for a reason, God took awesome George of this Earth and kept you, and you damn well better be worth it" line. Because it made Izzy look like a b***h, when really, she's just being honest, and that girl being there was making it hard for Meredith.
Karev needs to man up and be a freakin' husband. That's all. Cuddle your woman. Wouldn't you rather, that if she is going to die, for her to die in your arms, instead of across the trailer, pissed off at you because you won't cuddle her!?
Callie? You seriously just jumped hospitals, and were able to get a job within a day? Can that happen? And wow, I think I have a girl crush on you, because you were incredibly gorgeous in last night's episode.
Arizona... you overstep boundaries, but you care, and I like that.
McDreamy? Patrick Dempsey? Please get some sleep in real life, so that you aren't looking as old as you did last night. You looked old. and not so McDreamy. and it made my McHeart McSad. Just get some sleep. It's cool, I know you have kids, and they can do that to you. Bu good job being there for Meredith. Take notes that you should shut up once in a while and just be there for her.
Lexi and McSteamy? Moving in together? Okay, fine.
Last of all, the whole Mercy West / Seattle Grace merge? I don't like it. I don't know why. I just don't like this storyline. I liked the idea of the Chief leaving, and maybe going to be with his wife, and McDreamy taking over the post and doing his job. McDreamy would make a good Chief, I think.
Overall, I thought the episode was boring. Not enough happened. I was waiting for jawdroppers, and I didn't get any. I wanted more emotion than just crying about George. We'll see how the rest of the season goes...
I'm new to all this...
Hi! My name's Alisa. Some of you reading this know me personally, others of you do not. So let's do some quick introductions.
I am 23 years old. A 2008 graduate of a small liberal arts college in Pennsylvania, with a B.S. in Psychology, with a double major in psychology and french. I now work at that small liberal arts college, in the IT Services department. I am also pursuing my MBA from said small liberal arts college. So, I am a graduate, employee, and alumnus of the college, all at the same time. Very cool.
I grew up in south central Pennsylvania, in the same house my whole life. I love the area I grew up in, because I love the changing of the seasons, and being close to my family.
Speaking of family, I have a fabulous mom and a hardworking father. I also have an older brother, Kyle, who is older by 6 years.
I love animals, but the only pets I have right now are cats.
Chloe is a 13 year old Siamese, that I got for my 10th birthday. She lives with my parents, but I still consider her to be mine.
Lily, is only 6 months old, and she lives with my boyfriend, John, and I. We got her on a silly little whim, and now we're pretty crazy about her. She's got the weirdest personality for a cat.
John and I have been dating for the past 7 years, most of high school, all of college, and still today. We live together in a cute little apartment, and each day is a new bundle of fun and crazy.
I love cooking, and that's the whole reason I got into blogging, because I started a food blog, where I post recipes I make and like. You should check it out at Dragonfly Kitchen. I really enjoy being able to share my recipes with others, and being able to share the recipes of other great cooks.
I love reading, and have to admit that one of my favorites is the Twilight series. I'm obsessed. I've always loved to read, and one of my favorite kinds of days is when you wake up, start a book, and read it cover to cover.
I also really enjoy photography. I'm no professional, but I like to play around and have fun. I love taking pictures, because I think they are such good mementos to have.
Now that I've introduced myself, how about telling me something about you? Leave a comment. Tell me who's reading this. What do you like to do? Any Pets?

OneTree Hill Season 7 thoughts
So I'm a loyal fan of One Tree Hill, and a big fan of the show creator, Mark Schwahn. I have faith in this show. The many times when I was convinced I would stop liking the show, I've been proved wrong.
As a true Brucas fan, I have hated the show many times, as Peyton kept getting in the way. I got incredibly angry each time, but didn't stop watching. Finally, I started to actually like Leyton.
That is, until Peyton started her pregnancy ghetto speak in Season 6, which made me want to throw my TV all the way to Wilmington, to smack her back to normal. So, when I found out she wasn't coming back to the show, I was almost happy, cuz if Momma P was going to continue talking like Momma P after baby Sawyer was born, then I could do without her presence. Then we found out Lucas wasn't coming back either...
How could they do this? Wasn't the show based around Lucas? How would this work? I was convinced Mark would make it work.
And you know what? He has. I don't even miss Lucas and Peyton. BUT I would like a better explanation for their absence. I don't think you can throw 3 characters, 2 of which we have come to know and love and hate for the past 6 years, in a car, say they're going for a drive, and then never talk about them again, except to say they're travelling.
Loyal fans deserve more than that. Tell us that they're with Karen and Andy, so that Lily can get to know her brother Lucas, and Sawyer can have a grandmother in her life. Make it about family. Pull our heartstrings. Don't tell us they're "travelling". Who the heck "travels" when they have a baby? Isn't it hard enough to take a baby to the grocery store, much less "travelling"?
I'm still loyal to the show. I still love it, and the remaining characters are still dear to me. Brooke has always been my favorite, and she's still there. While I'm complaining though, can I just say that I'm so sick of Brooke not getting a happy ending? Why can't Julian just propose, and they can be together, and have some other silly drama? And the Naley scandal? Tired. Let's have Nathan be a good husband, and there be no doubt about that. We like Nathan. The whole cheating thing isn't that believable for me. He loves his son and his wife like crazy. He's not gonna get drunk and go after some silly ho and impregnate her with his Scott men. It's just not gonna happen.
And seriously, DAN and RACHEL? MARRIED!? All I can think of is, what the heck is Rachel up to now!?
What do you think of the new characters?? I like Quinn, she's the cute, cool aunt, but there's something shady going on with this hubs of hers. I want that drama to come out soon. It's been two episodes of the sad, lonely, on the road to divorce girl, now I wanna know what caused sad, lonely, on the road to divorce girl. I LOVE Clay's character, and think Robert Buckley is doing a fabulous job in character. He's lovable and definitely the right guy to help Nate out of this crazy scandal. And last of all, Alex. oh, Alex. She's going to be that character you love to hate. I can't wait to see what she has up her crazy little sleeve.
Am I the only one wishing for Chris Keller (Tyler Hilton) to come back to the show one last time before the end? He is the only old character I want back. Unless we're bringing people back from the dead, in which case, Keith would be on the first train back to Tree Hill to raise some hell with Dan.
What do you think?
